Review of Magic of Thailand Festival in Basingstoke
Food gave us food indigestion, very poor quality. Drinks were warm, children attractions overpriced and the trip winner was a singer that performed on stage few minutes beforehand. Never coming back...

We’ve attended for the last few years, lovely atmosphere though parking is an absolute nightmare. I’ve also found the prices very high this year, especially the kids entertainment side.

One of the best festivals to hit our town in years ! Excellent all round for 3 generations of our family !
Love Thailand anyway , but this was brilliantly fun, secure and calm in atmosphere and organisation !

Cheap tickets but the shows on the saturday were extremely hit or miss
They were greatly unprepared for the hot weather which i cant really fault them for but i feel having bottles of water available would have been noce. Instead of havig to either pay £5 for a slushie or run back to the shops in town
The food variiety was brilliant but was all very priecy. The quality was excellent but id have rather a variety in prices too
The stalls with clothes were greatly dissapointing as no store stocked any sizes of the women in my party. The smallest size woman was a size 12 and was too big for almost every stall we came across.
Size 16 is uk average. I know this is often an issue with asian clothing but plus sizes do exist and i think it was extremely dissapointing to have nothing at all available.
There were very few stores that stocked mens items
The crystal shop was excellent and i won a crystal in the raffle she was running.
The fact kids got in free was very good but i didnt actually see many kids?
The speakers on the stage were possibly too loud. I could hear the lyrics of songs outside my flat which is 400km away
And i have a hearing impairment
It meant being in any stall close to the stage was almost painful
And it seemed largely unnecessary as the crowd was very subdued in the hot weather
I think iâd go again if there was easy access to water and possibly more tents to just sit under. (next year it may rain. Alas we are in the uk)
If there were more things free with the ticket id have prefered it. Was no information about what prices to expect online or even a list of food stalls which were going to be there
I think id happily pay £10 per ticket if the vendors prices were 20% lower
I dont know if this is possible
One final apoint as a disabled indivual, the entrance was facing south when north woild have made much more sense
We all had to walk all the way around the event in order to get in.
The nearest parking directly north of the green so to me it would have made more sense
I chatted witj another cane user who actually gave up getting around to the entrance! As he knew hed be exhuasted once inside
I think these kind of thoughts about accesiblity were not concerned
The first aid tent was also extrmely hard to see until you were basically upon it as many other stalls and tents were blocking its little flag. This was concerning for me as i always try to locate the first aid tent in these kind of events due to my health issue
Im very glad i went but its unlikely id go again

Great event, great entertainment and great food. But very disappointed that the winner of the raffle was someone who worked at the event, we felt this was very unfair.
