RSPB Ham Wall Reserve

In spring the reedbeds are alive with birdsong and in autumn you can see kingfishers flashing up and down the ditches. Bitterns are seen regularly all year-round. There is disabled access to this reserve by RADAR key. Events are held throughout the year for families and for those who want to learn more about wildlife. Please note that the car park has a 6'6" height restriction. Our future plans involve a new reception building; a play trail at the new 'Mini' Marshes Area; toilets; new two story hide at the north side of the reserve. Opening times Open at all times. Entrance charges Free, but donations to help us continue our work here are welcome. If you are new to birdwatching... A good number of events take place through the year. These focus on the wildlife of the reserve and are lead by friendly, informative staff and volunteers. Information for families Good facilities provide easy family access, with a range of events held through the year and good information service at weekends from April to October. Information for dog owners Dogs are only allowed on public footpaths and bridleways. Dogs are only allowed on the public footpath and disused railway line. Assistance dogs are allowed on the Walton Heath and Loxtons Marsh trails
