Since it opened in 2003, The Place Bedford has developed a reputation among local audiences as one of the best places to see high-quality and cutting-edge professional theatre, as well as being the home of Bedford’s best amateur and community-led theatre companies. A year round programme of theatre, music and film presenting a varied cross-section of work for everyone in the community: spanning children’s theatre, folk music, musical theatre, comedy, as well as our core contemporary drama programme. The Place can be found at the top of Bradgate Road, off Goldington Road (the main A428 Northampton to A1/Cambridge road), in Bedford. Turn off Goldington Road into Bradgate Road (look for a brown ‘theatre’ sign here, not very easy to spot), and follow the road to the top. At the mini roundabout, turn right down a track, passing in front of the large green building (the Badminton Club), and continue for a further 60 metres - The Place is on the left.
