Empire is a fantastic venue. Bar staff were quick. Toilets were clean. Everyone was in a good mood and friendly. The band were very good but l was a bit disappointed they didn't play more Prince stuff! Started off well but then veered into songs that Prince wrote for others (fair enough) but then also announced they do other music and played that too. No complaints as the singer and the band were good but was expecting more Prince....

Great night from the first song in the set- "Let's go crazy". Fantastic vibe and musicianship.
Get more Prince songs in the set and don't worry about playing Donna Summer.
Really looking forward to seeing "Princess and the revolution" soon.😊

Band were great with the non Prince songs but didn't quite convince with Prince songs. Tbf it was band doing Prince songs and not a Prince tribute act that I anticipated.

My friend and I have attended many gigs at the Empire and have never been disappointed with the standard of performances.
We were really looking forward to the Prince Gig assuming it was a Prince Tribute act, and were very disappointed that the band were actually a 7 piece band which resembled a ska band with a female singer.
This is not what we had expected at all, a lot of people in the audience also told us they felt the same way. We ended up leaving after 25 minutes of the performance and went to the downstairs bar of the Empire where there was a much more enjoyable band which we would definitely go to see again.
Sorry if the feedback isn't what you wanted to read but no point in lying. A You Tube preview of this band would have been welcomed before we purchased tickets.

We had a great night but it just wasn't what we thought it was going to be. We thought we were going to a Prince tribute but not the case. Should have researched The Groove Line a bit more. They are great at what they do though, just how the gig was advertised was a bit misleading.

Lots of guests complaining about lack of prince songs. Hearing only one prince song by 10.15 is not great a prince night. Such a catalogue of music could have been played.

False advertising with thought it would have been a male doing Prince and instead it was a female who was very hard to understand very. Also she didn't sing many Prince songs at all

Loved it!
I’m a hardcore Prince fan though so I would have liked EVERY song to be a Prince song.
Brilliant musicians who should be very proud of last nights performance ,Alphabet Street was amazing.
Purple confetti would have made my night ha ha!!
Please do this again!
