First time at this small, intimate and casual venue attending a great show by the brilliant Texas based singer songwriter, Jason Eady who played songs from his catalogue of music over the year and his latest album as well as inviting and performing song requests from the audience. The close up and personal nature of show is so preferential to larger venues making the concert one of my most memorable. Thanks so much to Rogue Country for hosting and of course Jason for a great show.

Rogue Country events are a real privilege to attend. The Rogues have once again brought a bona fide U.S. Country artist to Birkenhead. Jason Eady took us on a musical journey from Nashville to New Orleans via Clarksdale, Mississippi. On a cold Birkenhead evening, local artist Mike West warmed us up nicely with his bastard country tales, ranging from West Virginia's Point Pleasant Mothman to the hard hitting reality of life in a left behind north western town. If you love your Americana or were wondering what the fuss is about, Rogue Country events are for you.

I think this is my fourth Rogue Country event, and the standard of artists has been outstanding every time. I love the intimacy of the Swinging Arm, ( wish it wasn't cash only bar!) Real old school venue. Each artist, particularly Tommy Prine and Sterling Drake you can imagine doing stadium gigs and you will be able to say smuggly, 'Oh yes, I saw them first in Birkenhead'. Look forward to the next Rogue Country tour.
