Review of Gruff Rhys & Bill Ryder-Jones
There were no comms that the gig started promptly at 19:45 (which is very early ) that I saw meaning I missed most of Gruff's set. I googled him prior to attending and he habitually comes on stage around 9. Not happy.

Review of Gruff Rhys & Bill Ryder-Jones
Three of us attended this gig which was outstanding. The sound was superb & the venue an absolute delight offering the opportunity to order drinks pre-gig for collection during the interval. That's service!

Review of Decadence & Wobble Present 'The Last Dance of 2023'
It was "OK"......lovely venue but it couldn't cope with the number of coats we had to queue for to put away and collect - crazy queues for the bar all night, not enough bar staff to cope. The atmosphere was "OK". I'm glad I went. Would i go mad to go again - no. The sound system for poor old Alison Limerick had everyone putting their fingers over their ears cause it hurt!

Review of Decadence & Wobble Present 'The Last Dance of 2023'
Very dissapointing event.
Paid £54 x 2 for final release tickets after considering to purchase Balcony Tickets which were first at £33(later reduced) only to find once you were in the venue you could actually get into the main room regardless of what Ticket you held....shambolic.
Although the venue was great the sound system/set up was very poor.... as soon as you walked in the main room it was so quiet and you could hear the crowd over the music unless you went near to the front. It was also quite bright and felt like you were at a school disco, prom night/ball... and had you been wearing high heels you probably would have regretted it and lost or left one of them stuck to the terribly sticky dance floor well before midnight.
The atmosphere was dull(if anyone says differently then i don't know what planet they were on or what they were on), none of the DJ's particularly grabbed the night by the disco balls and shook it up... a few occasional lifting moments when a well known track came on but then back to the slump and it all felt such an effort...never felt that way before at a house night and seen many of these artists play before since the late 90's.
The 'podium' dancers... actually just lined up on stage like some poorly arranged and poor quality 'Miss World's' and certainly not like anything like the quality of 'Miss Moneypennies'...sorry ladies but you looked like you'd just been dragged in off the streets.
....onto the penultimate gripe...yes it's becoming a drag I know and thankyou for your patience. The arrival of Alison Limerick on stage to save the night surely with 'Where Love Lives'.... nope, one of the first house tunes I remember pulling me onto the dance floor way back when & fell in love with now was just a shattered tune(voice) of the past... it's really sad tbh because you want to go to these nights/events and relive those times of old(yes with the acceptance that it won't be exactly how it used to be.... but at least transport me back a little)...
...anyway finally moving forward and to top it all off queuing at the bar whether it be upstairs or downstairs was equally shambolic.... 2 bar staff upstairs -which was the lesser of the 2 queues = +45mins to get a drink.... gave up in the end and just drank water from a depenser that had been left on a table.
I appreciate it must take a lot to get a night like this to work and effort to put it all together... and sometimes perhaps you just can't get it all right but when so much just doesn't work, feel right, overpriced for what you get out of it and leaves you as deflated as one of those annoying tacky ticker tape filled balloons that were eagerly popped by many... you the organisers might just have to give your heads a wobble for future events because this was not a night to remember of Decadence I'm very sorry to say.

Review of Decadence & Wobble Present 'The Last Dance of 2023'
I was disappointed that I paid £48 and the upper level came out after priced at half what I paid. There was nothing stopping upstairs coming into the main room so feel I overpaid for the same service as upstairs tickets at half the price.
