Olie Brice + Griffiths / Levin
Music Genres
Experimental
Olie Brice is a bassist who surely needs no introduction, he is a regular fixture with many of the top European improvisers. In addition to appearing alongside the likes of Paul Dunmall, Evan Parker, Mark Sanders, Rachel Musson, and Ingrid Laubrock, Brice has led a number of his own groups, notably his trio, quintet, and octet. This will be an exciting opportunity to hear him playing a solo, showcasing the creativity and virtuosity for which he is well known.
Saxophonist Lee Griffiths and drummer Miles Levin have previously played together alongside pianist Steve Tromans. This will be their first performance as a duo and will give them a chance to explore their musical relationship spanning free improvisation, free jazz, and straight-ahead jazz sensibilities.
