Review of NOIR 23 - The Magical Christmas Experience
The venue and location was excellent but let down by poor sound quality, lighting, poor DJs that couldn't mix or blend the music from one tune to another. There was music playing in one room that totally interfered with the venue in the main room and I had to tell the management about it. It looked like the organizers did not plan the event very well as all the timings of opening were incorrect, and we paid for tickets but didn't felt the hospitality and customer service matched the venue.

It was a nice event the vibe was nice but the event could have been better if there was a solid line up of DJs, Gemini Dons DJ set was really good however I was not really impressed with the rest of the DJ line up I enjoy the art of deejaying so things like being able to select and mix tunes are really important in my opinion.

The only DJ that was good was Milk Tray and the problem was he came on set way too early it was empty at the time. The music was terrible - DJ's stumbled during change overs and the music they played wasn't the hits. No Chronix, and anything that was played was the tunes that were not that good such as Koffee's unknown tune instead of Toast. I was disappointed. The funky house room was empty because there was no funky house crowd so the organisers should have switched it into a reggae / ragga and bashment room instead. I arrived at 10pm to a very echoey room. The system sounded awful. Bouncing from the walls. The crowd dressed well and everyone was ready for a good time. Sorry DJ's o wasn't impressed. Noir should change its name to boring. I danced to 5 tunes the whole night. I love dancing when I go out I was left standing shaking my head to the poor selection and left at 1.30am in the hope it would change. It didn't
