Review of Hot Flush x Queens Heath Pride The Afterparty

I had the best time! This was my second time attending Hot Flush and once again it was an incredible night.

Maxx curates some of the most beautifully interesting events. I love that they're not afraid to experiment, try new ideas and just roll with them. As an event producer myself, I genuinely wish I had that level of fearlessness. It creates such a unique atmosphere where you never quite know what to expect, yet somehow you always feel looked after, comfortable and safe throughout the evening.

Firstly, the event timing is a sweet spot for me being home and in bed before midnight is ideal! The music was exceptional as always and I loved the variety of performers, immersive experiences and inclusive games. The interactive element is a huge win. I'm newly sober and can sometimes feel socially awkward on nights out, but I was instantly met with a plethora of things to get involved with. It made it so much easier to relax, meet new people and get on the dance floor.

The venue was great too and the air conditioning was brilliant. The only thing that could have improved the experience was the signage. We weren't familiar with the venue and struggled to find the room and unfortunately the venue staff didn't seem to know much about the event or where to direct us. I also felt that QHP could have promoted the event a little more clearly within the venue.

That said, none of this affected the fantastic atmosphere, great vibes and wonderful time we had. Huge congratulations to everyone involved you've created som**hing really special and I can't wait to come back again.
