Joyous. That sums up the gig in one word. Rock as it used to be - played with enthusiasm, vigour and skill. Add a good deal of banter and humour, a very appreciative audience, and it made for a fab gig.

These four guys from Western Australia are a hoot, they obviously like what they do and get on well. The mullion-maned lead guitar and vocal talent had a good line in amusing and fruity language, and kept the audience entertained while the bass repaired his broken strings...

Venue 1 was a good size (holds 150), with a bar and clean loos. It also had a very good PA and despite being compact, was at a reasonable level - i.e. it wasn't completely deafening! (though I've been wearing volume lowering earplugs at gigs for a while).

The band finished off by saying they'll be back in the UK next year, playing Download festival in 2025.
Go and see them!

Awesome band. 3rd time of seeing them. Great interaction with the crowd. Own style, own lyrics, own sound and completely owned the stage.
Atmosphere was buzzing that you only get with venues like the Hare and Hounds. Please keep supporting them.
Rock is back and kicking ass.
Waiting for 2025 tour dates to see them again

Absolutely awesome get down a boogie rock 'n' roll band from Australia with attitude! Met them in the bar before they went on, smashing bunch of down to earth lads. Lovely friendly venue, good beer and great food. Check this band out they are going places!

I had seen the Southern River Band a couple of times before this and they blew me away! Tonight was even better if that were possible! The energy the boys have is awesome and the crowd loved it! Perfect night!

Loved the venue. Reminded me of going to Dudley JBs in the 80s… just missed the smokey atmosphere. The band were tremendous! Much tighter than I expected from a rock band, great musicians.
The front man is a proper frontman, great voice and very amusing!
