What a great line up - you'd pay twice as much to see one well known comedian with no easy access to a bar! Great venue great food great value and a really great laugh- what more could you want!

Fantastic evening with a great atmosphere, prices for food and drink a little on the high side but you are supporting local businesses so fully expected that compared to som**hing like Wetherspoon's.
but the quality of the food and drink far outdo what you get at places like spoon's

We had a really good time overall and enjoyed it and would definitely come back again. The compere Freddy Quinn was hilarious and really carried the show well and pulled it all together for the main acts. The food was great as always. The only criticisms are that the seating isn't particularly comfortable for long periods as we were on benches and mainly there was a group of women who were quite loud and talking throughout and going on their phones which was very distracting - and then they were rewarded with the free tick*ts from the Instagram competition and the whole room groaned whilst they cheered wildly. Not exactly the fault of the organisers as it was a random draw and I didn't even enter personally but our whole group thought that was quite irritating that the people who were ruining the event for others won free tick*ts

All great comedians last night, love the venue as it's our local so we feel lucky to have these shows on (although this was the first visit for Close Up Comedy!). Great value for money with guaranteed laughs. I hope to see more of these guys on TV!

Review of Strings - A Christmas Classic!
There was no festivity or Christmas cheer at this Christmas event. I would have expected it to be social vibes, have a drink, sing, chat and enjoy yourself (based on recommendations from previous!) However it was super quiet, no atmosphere and if you so much as spoke a word you got told off! As someone who works in the arts, and comes from a family of classical musicians, I think if the aim is to host a sit down concert performance with no talking or enjoyment in between then Herbert's Yard is not the right venue. This isn't a reflection on the musicians either - they were great. But the vibe was completely off for this one.
