Review of Hockley Social Club
Having been to its previous venue at “Digbeth Dining Club” , supported them through lockdown with amazing takeouts and been a couple of times when they opened for outside seating only , this was the first visit to the venue in its new fully functioning indoor space. I have to say I was left a little disappointed. The food was as always amazing! The staff are doing a good job and are friendly and approachable, however something was not lining up... music was a touch too loud given it’s still a seated only venue and most people are there to socialise, was extremely difficult to hold a conversation at the table. Not sure if they were understaffed but the service on drinks was soooo slow, we were waiting a good 10-15 mins after finishing drinks before we could put another order in and then another 10-15 minutes after that before they would arrive. I think creating an app ordering system for drinks would be better. Also there’s no hot water at the toilets so didn’t feel particularly hygienic and I was told the men’s toilets were disgusting. Hopefully just teething problems.... it has great potential.

Great afternoon at Hockley social. The food was amazing. Great service and venue was well regulated for covid. Definitely recommend.
Would have liked to be able to sit in the sunshine if desired but was all undercover. Had a lovely time though.

Review of Hockley Social Club
Other than the very very long wait to take our drinks orders the food came out instantly when we ordered. They should make it clear on their webpage that we would receive the food menus after we had ordered drinks as we weren't sure what vendors were there on the day and in the time we waited to be served we could have browsed the menus instead of sitting there frustrated not knowing if we were going to be served or not. After that though we had a pleasant time and the food was great!

Review of Hockley Social Club
Our first time at Hockley Social. Food was excellent and a good atmosphere. Service was difficult because it was busy or not enough staff, so you really had to wave your arms in the air to get attention. Drinks were good although some were a bit pricey. Overall though I would recommend. They let us stay past our allocated 2.5 hours which was really nice of them. I would recommend

Review of Hockley Social Club
This was the best run event we have been to under Covid restrictions. So we'll organised. Everything ran so smoothly. Everyone knew what they were doing. No waiting for anything. Excellent event.
