About
Welcome to 'a Celebration of Grassroot Artists', an opportunity to enjoy what the musicians in the city has to offer. It's well known in the music industry that independent music venues are struggling to stay open financially, it's not viable. Without these venues, the music scene will disappear in Birmingham entirely.
Historically, grassroot music is where the big artists started. For example, Judas Priest had formed in Birmingham, playing at Essington working men's club in 1971. Birmingham is known as 'the birthplace of heavy metal' With your support, you can help keep music venues open, as well as supporting the local music scene.
At ARK Events, we recognise supporting grassroot venues to not only keep them in business, but keep our community and music industry afloat.
