Utterly superb gig, in a complete bombsite of a venue - Nils was moved to apologise for playing in such a 'hole'. I for one, will never return to it (or any other 'O2' venues of its ilk. They ruin the gig experience and fail to enhance the music.
Why are O2 in the music business other than to rip of both musicians and punters?
50gallons of black paint does not a great venue make.

Utter perfection. Thanks for the amazing experience, Nils! Cannot wait for his next appearance in the Midlands, I'll be there. He was nice enough to meet fans outside the venue too - such a legend.

Nils was great, one of the best shows I’ve ever seen!
Venue was awful, half full, balcony was shut and still really long queues for drinks. Also no Merchandise as apparently the venue insisted on taking 25%!
Unbelievable!

Performance was excellent, but the venue was totally unsuitable as during quieter parts the performance was drowned out by swinging doors and bar staff. A seated venue would be much more suitable.

Watched Nils last night at the 02 Birmingham. Nils is a fantastic musician and really enjoyed the show! The crossover between classical + electronic was beautiful. Just shame there was no CDS/Posters/ for sale. He did say why there wasn't any merch but after he explained the story, I understood. Would love to see Nils perform again.

Nils was in top form, and worth the admission alone. However its easily the worst venue in Birmingham. It feels like a run down student bar with rude staff and security. 02 rob the artists asking them for 25% of their merch sales, and don't even let them sign for the fans due to "Health and Safety" reasons. 02 Have no love of music, its all just a branding exercise to own all these venues and put no investment in. Boycott and support independent venues.
