Big shame about the finishing early.... The earliest finish to a concert that I have ever been to... I was expecting a support act too and there was not any, where Eric Benet was supported by Omar in London and Natasha Watts in Manchester.... So yes, felt a bit robbed of that in Birmingham.... Otherwise, Eric Benet was brilliant and on point with his singing.... Organisation of the VIP guests could have been better... What should have happened is that they should have been placed at the very front before the regular punters were allowed in, with even a cordoned off area possibly, instead of asking regular punters to step back to allow them to get their spot... In all honesty, I wasn't stepping back for no one and kept my spot near the stage... The other thing about the meet and greet... Don't be asking fans to pay to meet you Eric!!! Yes we live in capitalist times... I've been to quire a few dos where I have had pics taken with the artist... They never asked me for any money... They were happy to meet the fans and more respect to them for taking the time to do that... As soon as it was announced that they wanted us to by a t-shirt to get a pic with Eric, me and many other fans were out of there... If people were not being forced to buy merchandise to get a pic I bet more people would have hung around and a bet more merchandise would have been sold just because more people would have been in a good frame of mind and would have been around the merchandise... However, saying all that I still enjoyed the night, as long as it lasted, lol =
