In a very basic room, Marisa & the Moths shone like the sun. Stage presence,energy, musicianship,all top rate. I will definitely see them live again. Bonus marks for 3 excellent support acts too.

I'm a confessed moth maniac so any review of the music will be biased. Having said that, it was my first gig with the new MATM lineup and I was blown away. I have missed Marisa's voice so much live, such power and control. Caroline of Bastette oozes sex appeal and there's a definite Joplin vibe going on.
Unfortunately due to tube strikes and late trains I missed the first two bands.
The venue was small so small in fact that the superb sound system dwarfed it. Drinks were nice and cheap and the staff not averse to chatting with an obviously worse for wear customer... Only issue was the lighting which was poor to say the least. Standing on stage left meant not being able to see the artists, stage right and the one "spotlight" made everything bleach out. I'm an amateur photographer and found plying my hobby here harder than anywhere I've ever been simply down to the lighting. I've seen Christmas trees with a more even coverage....
