Pys Melyn
PysMelynare Ceiri, Sion, Owain, Owain and Jac from Pen Ll?n, North Wales.PysMelynbegan releasing singles in 2018 and in 2019 formed Ski-Whiff Records.
On the release of “Bywyd Llonydd”, (the band’s first album in 2021, which drew on a variety of global influences) the album was nominated for a Welsh Music Prize.
On the release of their second album ‘Bolmynydd’ in August 2023, which draws on a more traditional range of 60’s/70’s influences the band toured the UK and Brittany, playing venues such as The Garage in London and Rough Trade Bristol.
In 2024 the band have from strength to strength. At the beginning of the yearPysMelynrecorded a BBC6 Music session for Mark Riley and also secured spots at Festivals Greenman The Great Escape and Boia.
