Review of Hive Blackburn & Darwen Business Awards 2017
The venue was central and easy to access. The actual room for the awards was well presented with good lighting, comfortable seating arrangements and pleasant attentive staff. There were a few grumbles about the meal (all courses), but I suppose you can't please everyone when catering on mass. The awards evening, guest speakers and hostess were all fab and a great evening had by all. Thank you.
Review of History Of House
Musically the DNS didn't have long enough to build a good set, didn't like judge jukes. To say it was history of house I didn't hear much pre 93, quite disappointed musically. Needs to be more emphasis on quality rather than quantity. Everything else was very well thought out. Apart from the engineer hammering the bass into distortion.

Brilliant night!! Really well organised event, fantastic music - loved every minute of it! Was a bit disappointed with the VIP though, advertised with queue jump, extra bars and extra loos but there was a 15 minute wait everywhere upstairs minimum, there were better facilities downstairs to be honest. A free cloakroom would have been a nice perk for VIP too. Having said that, I liked being on the balcany and being able to have a sit down mid way through from dancing so much! Can't praise the staff enough though, to say there was so many people there I thought they all did an amazing job :)

Review of History Of House
The door staff spoilt our night as they did not let all our group in.
Reason for refusal was we was a group from out of town and a member in our group had too much spending money £500 cash.
Perhaps event organiser need to make clear no groups when selling tick*ts.
Really disappointing as we had purchased 13 tick*ts that went to waste.
After speaking to both event organisers and skiddle no refund has been given.
Totally shocking and would not recommend to anyone!!!!!!!!

Review of Kaluki Smoke Signals Tour
The music was great but you can always expect that from solardo as they are massivley killing it at the moment Darius syrossian also played a belter along side detelf, the venue itself was decent but the sound system was s**te! The security was a bunch of juiced up idiots all going round in big groups bulling people had no respect at all. Also the venue ran out of water at about 11.45 which was a massive supprise! half of the bar staff don't have a clue what was going on and when you asked for drinks prices one replied 'I dunno' as he just stood there like i was a massive inconvenience on his life. I wouldn't Recomend this venue as it was poorly ran.

Review of History Of House
The event was well organised, the lighting and sound system was amazing and all three rooms had a wonderful atmosphere. The highlight of our night was definitely Judge Jules - who was totally awesome. The bouncer in-front of the barrier in the main room did an excellent job controlling the crowd and passing out much appreciated water.
King Georges Hall is a stunning venue which could do with a lick of paint and the toilet facilities modernising, by 2.30am all of the toilets were blocked and unusable. We had paid extra for VIP tick*ts, which we all thought wasn't worth it, due to the VIP bar having a 25 minute queue and hardly stocking anything, the bars in the non VIP section were well stocked and we got served immediately! In addition the dance floor had a much better vibe than dancing on the balcony amongst the chairs and the 20' drop!!
