Journey through Lancashire’s darkest and funniest history, at The Blackpool Tower Dungeon!
Get dunked headfirst into 1000 years of grisly history as the live actors and immersive sets bring Lancashire's past back to life.
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is a uniquely thrilling attraction, where you’ll live and breathe Lancashire’s ‘orrible past. Find out how victims of the Black Plague sought to treat themselves with gruesome remedies and the hideous punishments treacherous pheasants endured at the hands of the Torturer in the depths of Lancaster Castle. Discover the harrowing history of Meg Shelton, the infamous Witch of Woodplumpton and receive a haunting visit from the witch herself.
As you make your way through the past in this immersive adventure, you’ll see, smell and hear the ghastly history of the county, which ends in the eerie Pendle woods where you’ll be sentenced to death for your crimes of witchcraft on the ultimate Drop Ride to the Death… if you can stomach it!
A helper or carer is welcome to accompany a disabled visitor without charge. Only one carer can receive free entry per guest.
A carer ticket can be arranged by emailing Guestservices.theblackpooltower@merlinentertainments.biz. We will require documentary proof of disability on arrival.
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon is fully wheelchair accessible. Navigating around the Dungeon will be mainly through level pathways. However, due to the nature of the attraction, some floor surfaces are uneven.
The tour lasts approximately 90-110 minutes.
We recommend the experience is suitable for children 8 years and above, but this is at the discretion of the parent or guardian.
Children under the age of 15 years must be accompanied by an adult 18 years and above.
The Blackpool Tower Dungeon brings together an amazing cast of theatrical actors, special effects, stages, scenes and a ride in a truly unique and exciting walkthrough experience that you see, hear, touch, smell and feel. It’s hilariously fun, it's scary!
