Review of Clubland Weekender 2022
I thoroughly enjoyed the event. The music and the atmosphere was great. The clubland team fine a great job organising the event.
Negatives for me was the cost of upgrading to VIP. The VIP ticket was supposed to give me queue jump which didn’t happen, we were told by the bouncer this was due to local council but this really should not have been sold if if it wasn’t possible. I personally didn’t buy the excuse. Secondly the VIP balcony only had 2 porta loos which didn’t have any lighting to use them you had to use torchlight. Thank god for mobile phones. The area was far away from the main stage and so I never used it as you want to be closer to the artists not far away. This must have been an attitude used by all as it was always empty.
The bar area was expensive and drinks were warm with limited choice.
Lastly I wasn’t aloud to take my perfume in with me which is baffling as women take perfume everywhere, I had to leave it in the cloakroom. Subsequently as I never leave things in a cloakroom and had no other reason to go there as didn’t take a coat I forgot about it. I returned on the Saturday night to collect and as I expected to be fair the perfume was gone. Probably binned or taken by staff. In one hand I sincerely hope it was the latter. I think it is ridiculous to but allow perfume in and frankly don’t believe it to be true that I wasn’t aloud ti not have it, the annoyance was amplified but the fact that I couldn’t have perfume but people were smoking and taking drugs on the dance floor. While I wasn’t annoyed with what people were doing on the dance floor, each to there own it didn’t impact me or dampen my weekend in any way it seems a little stupid that my perfume was more a safety risk.

Review of Clubland Weekender 2022
The majority of the artists were good. However, there were several on stage who were absolutely wasted. The bar was expensive, for what were very low quality drinks, and the tokens system was unhelpful. More likely for the event organisers to profiteer further in the hope that people would loose tokens and/or forget to spend them. The policy of no reentry if you left was very poor. I would not reccommend this event.
