Review of Clubland Weekender 2022
Music was mint, not a big fan of MCs and some was OK but there was a bit too much, same as the gallery lighting, turn it down or off, half the venue was dark and half lit up, maybe H&S concerned but took the enjoyment out, and where were the lazers??
Don't think VIP was needed, was empty both nights so could have been enjoyed more by those who wanted a better view. VIP toilets were shocking!
Drinks available were disgusting, barely got through £60 as every drink l had l struggled to drink.
Overall clubland music will live on but winter Gardens was a once only for me. Never again.

Fantastic weekend event. However many aspects could be improved upon. Organisation at the preband pickup was shambolic and no one seemed to know what was happening. Microphones for the live acts were iffy at best leading to them often sounding worse. Visuals constantly incorrect for the act on stage etc. While the ticket system was very smart, £6 for a bottle of water or a little single jd and mixer is pretty shambolic. The acts did the best at keeping the crowd going till the end both nights however I think the winter gardens was simply too large of a venue for this event as it didnt really have that presence I feel the event was begging for. Repeated songs from artists really did kill the crowd massively after a large act like basshunter etc. The run order also was confusing as the venue was half empty after Darren style played around midnight. Leaving 3 hours of brilliant music to be played to hardly anyone compared to the first half.

for the first night you could not see any of the acts as the lighting was all wrong. on the 2nd night the mic volume was up to high and overpowered the music. Drinks were £6 each and done by tokens. You could not buy 1 bottle of water due to this as it was tokens so had to buy 3, that's bad. venue was good nice and dark, although thr drink tokens vans had bright lights and spoiled the atmosphere somewhat. Would I go again, Yes as I enjoy the music, but hope that next time the small bits are ironed out
