We enjoyed this dual social evening of Chinese New Year and Burns Night ( unusual to fall on the same day. Queens Hotel in Bournemouth did a very good job decorating the ball room, planning the tables and organising this unusual evening . The food was good - Haggis , neeps and potatoes, with other meat casserole dishes and the Chinese Buffee looked good too. My only point worth mentioning is that instead of guests being allowed a free for all in getting their food , the staff should always call each table(s) in turn. Various guests on the coach holiday were told to be in the ballroom for 7pm so that by the time the food was due to be served at 7.45pm they were fed-up with waiting and a bit peeved. All in all we were pleased we booked . We enjoyed our meal and enjoyed dancing to most of the music. Perhaps the odd 'Gay Gordons' would have been appropriate but we still did a Cha Cha etc !!
