Review of My Darling Clementine in Concert
Very unusual performance where she and he construct some of their lyrics as a musical dialogue between themselves as husband and wife, with acutely observed and delicious ironies, and joined by their talented and charming daughter on a couple of songs

Review of My Darling Clementine in Concert
A fantastic evening, MDC were wonderful, the venue was like no other I have been to but very nice, food was available, we both had the curry and at £3.50 a go it was an absolute bargain and so delicious.
Parking right outside the venue was free so that was an added bonus.
All in all it was one of the most enjoyable nights the two of us have had for a long while.

Review of Jinski in Concert
An amazing Venue!! Sound was superb, band great and everyone incredibly friendly. Take your own drink and food - though they do amazing coffee and, this time, an incredible curry - oh and cakes to die for! Fantastic!!

Review of Clive Gregson & Liz Simcock
After their previous visit almost 2 years ago, another great night from Clive and Liz, in a somewhat cosier location than previously!
Centred around their just released Underwater Dancing CD, their intimate set of pretty much all new material (Neig*bours theme excepted) was excellent and hopefully more regular touring will materialize. Catch them when you can and I hope it won't be another 2 years before they're back in West Yorkshire.
Jinski are lined up at the venue in November - another great duo to look forward to.

Review of Clive Gregson & Liz Simcock
Liz's silky voice and Clive's superb guitar playing , and voice accomp animent blended perfectly, and the original material they have written addresses universal human themes - of love and loss, of grief and joy - powerfully enough to bring this reviewer repeatedly to tears . When buying tickets, remember the hankies too!

Review of Plumhall + Henry Parker
Excellent venue in the world famous Black Dyke Mills. Being an old mill it can be cold, so make sure you take something warm to wear (although they do have a number of factory style heaters). Seating is a mix of settees, easy chairs and other chairs, with plenty of tables for good measure. Usually have homemade food & cakes for sale, together with hot drinks. You can take your own alcohol/soft drinks and there's a Tesco store over the road from the venue. They also have a raffle, to help finance the venue
Make sure you spare some time to view the photos on the walls, which give some history of the venue as well as some old pictures of Bradford city centre & some art installations.
The only downside is that the carpark is a little dark and there were quite a few puddles outside to be negotiated (mind you there had been a lot of rain earlier in the day).
I'd not seen the support act before but Henry Parker is a superb guitarist. He also had cassette tapes and an EP on CD for sale.
Plumhall were excellent as usual, playing two sets of self penned material from their debut album (that's currently sellling well following a recent repressing) and material from their forthcoming album due in the spring. A number of cover versions were included as well from artists as diverse as The Clash/Chumbawumba & The Diving Comedy. Their cover of Robert Plant & Alison Krauss - Killing the Blues makes the original sound like a Kareoke version, it really is that good. Their own material is also excellent and delivered with fantastic vocals and excellent guitar work, althouh Nick could do with some new jokes for the banter between songs.
Overall an excellent night with an appreciatitive crowd and excellent company. It also pays to buy tickets on Skiddle as their was no booking fee and cheaper tickets than on the night.

Review of Laurel Canyon Union
This is one of the best local bands playing Americana and West Coast songs. They have an excellent repertoire which is added to on a regular basis and their musicianship is exceptional

Review of The Rob Dylan Band
I enjoyed the Rob Dylan Band very much, in a new venue for us. Very interesting experience, and I would definitely go again in the future. However, next time I will make sure I wrap up well! In the height of the summer, it was freezing cold in there, which kind of deflects one's enjoyment somewhat.

Review of Pete Morton In Concert
Brilliant performance hugely enjoyed by Pete's audience, and supported by well known local folk duo Otra with some moving lyrics. Pete Morton has not only an extremely versatile singing voice but his songwriting is infused with warmth and humanity, yet carries a sharp sting against injustice and oppression. His are liberation songs.
Highly recommended
