Review of Saltaire Festival Comedy Night

It's the wrong venue for comedy, the sound worked against the acts. It was really odd that the sound desk was downstairs which given everyone was upstairs was weird as he couldn't see what was going on. You had to concentrate really hard to work out what the acts were saying.
The compare was inexperienced in this role at getting the crowd in the right mood for comedy. All of theses factors worked against the acts. We would definitely like to see Louis Etienne again in a different venue and the staff were great at bringing drinks to tables.
