PAUL TAYLOR is the man who created Retro, the UK's leading light in Classic House music way way back in 1998. In the late ’80s, Paul Taylor & business partner Steve Farkas took ownership of 1200 capacity club called The Angels located under a multi-story car park in Burnley, Lancashire. Although The Angels had been opened a few years by this point, it wasn’t until around 1990 when it would rise out of the early house scene and start to draw crowds from all over. During these formative years, the club was host to many D.J.’s who later became big names in the following decade. D.J.s like Carl Cox, Sasha, Pete Tong, DJ Hype, Paul Oakenfold, and many others graced the Angels decks. Alongside these soon-to-be worldwide D.J.’s, you had local talent playing like Paul Taylor, DJ Welly, and Rick B.
BEN TAYLOR - Ben's professional DJ career kicked off in the club scene way back in the late 90's. Bens versatility and understanding of house music in many delightful forms is crystal clear, and his ability to know what makes a dance floor tick has set him apart. Performing at some of the best clubs across the globe; Tall Trees, Pacha, Sankeys, The Empire, Warehouse Project, Plug Sheffield and Eden to name but a few, and supporting world class DJ’s such as The Shapeshifters, MYNC project, Tom Novy, Graham Park, Jeremy Healy, Alistair Whitehead and of course his father Paul Taylor, DJ Ben Taylor has certainly imprinted his name firmly on the clubbing scene.
