Took my mum and dad who grew up in Bradford in the 70 and they loved it. 

Review of This Space is Occupied

This was a unique event for me. Loved my life in the '70s and this special period in time was brought back to life. I enjoyed looking at the memrobillia and saw my Demis Roussdos albums. Also the gill size bottles if milk that my Grandmother used to have delivered. The venue was amazing and I enjoyed moving around with the actors, despite normally liking to sit comfortably and enjoy a play. I also enjoyed looking at the audience, a number of whom  seened familiar, but I think they were familiar from my youth in the '70s and were still embracing that period in time. I could not always work out who was audience and who was theatre people. Last but not least I thought the acting was great. I loved the dancing.  All the characters were very convincing.  This was an extremely enjoyable experience and I'm pleased that I went.

Bent Architect are doing brilliant things, and this was a truly collaborative bit of theatre that represented the best of Bradford. Clever script, brilliant setting, stunning cast. And you could tell the audience were having a fab time. Loved it. 

Great production: ideal play for the venue and vice versa. Funny, thought provoking, relevant to today, plus unconventional staging adding to the atmosphere. Just one regret - that we didn't rush out at the end and occupy the Town Hall  ;-)

The actors and actresses were incredible. Wish I could see it again. 

A wonderful experience. Loved the use of the space and the absence of boundaries between the performance and the audience, making it a lived rather than an observed experience.  It was uplifting, smart and moving, unleashed a flood of memories of growing up in 1970s Bradford and yet was surprisingly relevant.  Full of verve, passion and some great moves on the dance floor. 

Well done and in character. Lots of energy

A very different kind of theatre, well produced, truly immersive, stretching and provocative in good ways. Will watch out for more. 

Great to be able to explore an old Bradford pub. Actors very good. As a Bradfordian born and bred, the story was very relevant. The hands on stuff was interesting.
