Manasseh ft. Afrikan Simba @ Dub Attack

Dub Attack is proud to welcome Nick Manasseh and Afrikan Simba alongside residents High Pressure Sound System, Inspirational Sound and Balki.

Manasseh has occupied a vibrant space in the worldwide reggae music community for 25 years. A sound system built by a group of school friends for Notting Hill Carnival in ’85, the Manasseh crew played reggae with roots - missing from the scene at that time. The legendary Manasseh late-night dub show occupied a slot on Kiss FM from ’87-‘90, and Nick has been selecting from his distinctive collection of music for broadcast and the dance ever since. As a producer, Nick records and mixes music for artists all over the world at his studio - 'The Yard', in Ladbroke Grove. Manasseh is widely credited for pioneering the ‘UK Steppers’ genre with Sound Iration’s ‘Seventh Seal’ in ’88 and has gone on to release records on Acid Jazz, Riz Records, and Roots Garden records.

Afrikan Simba Hailing from Nigeria, award winning artist Afrikan Simba is one of the leading MC's in London, having worked with top sound systems such as Jah Shaka, Aba Shanti and Channel One.

Dub Attack are a West Yorkshire based collective of long serving dub/roots producers, DJ’s and sound systems who have come together and collaborated to promote Dub music and all it's roots and branches, bringing people together to dance, socialise and reflect on the music…..

We aim to provide a positive, inclusive space for people to enjoy dub and roots music in the way we believe it should be enjoyed, on a clear, powerful soundsystem. 

​Dub Attack is run by Inspirational Sound outta Bradford and Leeds crews High Pressure and Balki. At our events at the Mill Bradford we will be deploying 6 scoops of custom built dub boxes straight from High Pressure Sound System and bringing some of the best dub and reggae producers and acts out there, alongside our resident family of tuff selectas and local heads.
