Review of B.O.B fest (Best of Bradford)

Great festival great bands a great mix of bands and singers was great on Saturday but Sunday was far too loud I have never heard anything acoustic singers so loud I think the soundman was deaf but music was great Sunday too , love the venue great owner too and bar staff too!

I've been to the Bradford Underground quite a few times over the past year since this excellent Bradford venue opened, and this time I came across from Leeds (yes, Leeds peeps are welcome in Bradford!) to see REGAN and Foxes Faux at the Best of Bradford BOB festival. At half seven when I arrived, the atmosphere was already buzzing and after a cheeky pint of Saltaire Blonde (promo price £2.50!), REGAN launch straight into their live set. A mix of their older tracks 'Destined to Fall', a slower ballad 'Pray for Freedom' and the excellent more recent track 'It's not too late' showcased REGAN's talents and were all really well received by the home crowd. Foxes Faux were up next and, tongue in cheek, enjoyed winding the crowd up by saying they were really pleased to play at the Best of 'Leeds' festival. With 5 guitars/banjo and a drummer, the stage quickly turned into a maelstrom of swirling instruments and musicians and the Bradford crowd really enjoyed their set as well. Friendly welcome:
As ever, the staff at the Underground were really friendly and up for a bit of banter. It's always nice to feel welcome when you go to a different music venue - the staff at the Underground do a great job of that: welcoming peeps who are there to enjoy the music. Oh, and the beer and pies ;)

Travel there:
Some people might baulk at the idea of going over to Bradford for a night out, but it's definitely worth it. The Underground itself is very close to the Forster Square train station and barely a 10 minute walk from the Bradford Interchange. And - excuse my Leeds bias - but with late trains back to Leeds from the Interchange at midnight (or Forster Sq at 11ish) and £5.40 return ticket, what's not to like. If you're driving, there's plenty of free evening parking nearby which is great compared to the cost of evening parking in Leeds.

All in all, the Best of Bradford BOB festival at Bradford Underground is a great event: cracking venue, superb sound system, great local bands, top beer at a great price, and welcoming friendly staff. Well worth a visit. :-))

He might be just one man and his guitar but it was a brilliant evening. Mark's natural rapport with his audience makes the show. Good mix of old and newer stuff kept everyone happy.

Really enjoyed the gig - mix of Mark's new music and older Bluetones songs. He got the balance spot on. And as ever peppered with @theQuill' s cutting/warm/self deprecating sense of humour. Nice one!

The Dub Pistols were great as always. More attention to detail for the venue, it was very cold and the toilets need toilet paper, at the start of the night half the toilets had no toilet roll. Otherwise the venue is ok.

Review of Chuck Mosley (Faith No More)

Disappointed with the gig. Venue was really good and would definitely visit again. Chuck Mosley seemed either too drunk or just not himself at all. Thought he sounded all over the place whilst breaking up songs with chatter, this may have been nerves. I ended up leaving after about four songs. Ticket price was excellent but I think Chuck may have benefited with the backing of his band.

Absolutely fantastic performance by Maverick Sabre! The overall sound quality was spot on and the venue just perfect for a more intimate gig. I'd most definitely visit the underground again and plan to see Maverick in the future. Thank you all for a top event!
