Review of Brighton Antiques, Vintage an Collectables Fair
Great Fair as usual. Loads of unusual items, some really nice art deco and something for most tastes. Didn't seem quite so many people there this time. Well worth getting the early bird tickets.

Review of Brighton Antiques, Vintage an Collectables Fair
It was a nice event and could see the level of effort put in. the venue is ok, never been to Brighton Racecourse before so good to see.
It felt a little bit cramped at times a little more space would not have gone a miss in the room to the left (without the cafe), but I have been to much worse events like this.
The range of stalls was quite wide and had a selection for most people. Only made a few small purchases, some it was v.expensive some less so and as expected. would have bought more if the prices were better priced.
Would I go to the same fair again? perhaps not, but I wouldn't rule it out completely so its a maybe. I would go and try the event by LoveFairs at Lingfield see if it attracts any different sellers and also hopefully have a little more room/be better laid out. In terms of events at horse racing venues I think it will take a bit to beat the events held at Kempton.

Review of Brighton Antiques, Vintage and Collectables Fair
I always love going to these types of fairs, i did pick up a coupld of items for the grand total of £5.00. There were many beautiful things i would have liked to owned but being person who works parttime and also a carer the prices were far beyond my purse. Being a bit of a collector myself i have a good idea of the value of certain items but some were inflated beyond there worth. But pass that i did enjoy looking around.

Review of Fright Festival 2016
Pros
People, excellent. Mostly a young crowd of students but all friendly and having a great time.
Staff, friendly and even the door staff were reasonable.
Music was good and having separate rooms was good to give a separate feel for each space
Cons
At every stage the volume was pretty quiet. Outside on the main stage even the headline act was far too quiet. The main stage was outdoors and so close to housing but then why have an outside main stage at all if you can't play the music at volume? People weren't dancing out there because it was at background levels, they were stood around chatting. Inside it was a bit better but it was still only houseparty volume rather than festival volumes. We had a good dance and met some great people but they could have played it louder.
Drinks prices were a mugging. £3.50 for a bottle of water, £5 for a 330ml Magners or a 440ml can of Becks Vier or Red Stripe. All the other festivals I've been to this year have charged nowhere close to that even in London. £5 for a decent pint is what you expect, £2-£2.50 for a water. Don't shortchange me on the amount as well as the quality of the drink! Maybe it was some licence condition to try and stop people getting drunk by only serving tiny amounts and 4% session lagers but it just rubs the wrong way.

Review of Fright Festival 2016
This event should have spent less money on advertising and more money on production. It was an extremely small festival - it was not on the race course but one section of the viewing ring. The stage was absolutely tiny. There were not many decorations or general cool things at the festival to impress the eye.
The acts/music were very good, although the volume was not loud enough at all. The acts played way too early - lethal bizzle at 7?! Madness. Chase and status played at 9:45/10:00 and they were the headliners ..... No idea what happened after that as the festival was meant to go on until 2?! I left at half ten due to not much to see/do. Disappointing for £20 a ticket and how much hype it had got. Whereas if it were a student-run thing and I had low expectations I would have been more impressed.
