Review of Central Park - Ultimate Hangout (Glastonbury Live) (Free Entry)
I was gutted not to be at this year's Glastonbury, and thought what a good idea it was to have screens showing the stages from here. I was imagining a little mini festival with lots of interesting food stalls, a reasonably priced bar, maybe a few Glastonbury type traders and buskers, some jugglers, fire eaters, flags, décor, etc., but this was just a dusty, completely atmosphere-less place with just rows of benches with people drinking. No vibes what-so-ever. It would be great to put on a 'Brightonbury' little festival vibe event, even making a small charge to enter, and lay on some entertainment, stalls, live music, etc. I suppose licensing limits you to what you can do. Want any help doing this? I run my own micro-festivals.

£7.5 for a pint is way too expensive, even the fringe isn't that expensive, plus you have to pay for your cup. you should get this back if you return the cup like they do in other places. from the outside looks like a prison. Not a great place to hang around in on a Friday night.

Unfortunately there seemed to have been little thought put into the planning of the venue and it felt like we were sat in a canteen albeit outside. Absolutely no atmosphere.

Really such a shame as could have been amazing with more attention to detail..no decor ...just a big screen at end of venue ...tables laid out like a school dinner hall ...unnecessary fencing inside the venue ...the Grease sing along was just the movie being played , no one there with the audience leading a sing along ..could have been good but really wasn't .

£8.50 for a pint; but the staff state £1 of this is a deposit which will be returned to you when you hand the cup back in. Come to hand the cup back and am then told the additional £1 actually goes towards 'cleaning and staff'. Plus the cups they state are reused were just chucked out the back into a bin..
