BUILD AND DESTROY by AROE
About this event
Widely considered one of the most influential and innovative names in the subculture of British urban art, AROE is an artist that continues to find new and compelling ways to experiment with graffiti.

AROE will be displaying a collection of hand-finished prints, original canvases and sculptures from his, 'Build and Destroy' series inspired by the impermanent nature of graffiti, and the never-ending dance between artist and the authorities.

‘The whole thing with Build and Destroy is that it is a cycle of constantly building things, and then it being destroyed. Someone comes in with the white paint, and then you go in and destroy their work with your graffiti and the cycle continues. Whose destroying what? Both of you are doing both.’

There will be drinks on arrival and a chance to meet the artist himself.
