It was really good on the beach and people made a lot of effort with the costumes. At the venue, the music was way too loud and they didn't keep to the timing of the event which made us miss the children costume competition,  I was very disappointed with this. I think it's important to keep on top of the schedule, especially when it involves children... .people have routines and specific time to feed their kids. 

Review of March of the Mermaids 2016

I think there were more people in the march last year but the weather was hotter then. I preferred the stop at a bar on the front last year rather than an in-between club at Patterns as the main after party was at the Funfair club.

I think this is an amazing event and has so much potential to expand. 

We had such an amazing time. Worth every penny. This was a very well organised event. With the amazing Captins Beard band playing at the after party the children loved dancing and did not want to leave. 

Perfect Day. Daughter found the music at Patterns too loud though & we had to go outside! Would be good if the parade went along past The Madeira Terraces, Concorde 2 would be an excellent ending point & they have a kid's playground there too. It got VERY crowded by Kings Road Arches & turned in to a bottle neck, some kids found it very overwhelming. One of the adult mermaids collapsed! Maybe start the march a bit earlier? Great day though, really enjoyed!
