Review of Me Me Me x Disco Deviant
A magical musical journey from Andrew Weatherall (as always) to top the night, friendly staff and punters.
Only downside was having to leave your beers (in plastic glasses) behind glass doors, and before entering the smokers area upstairs...My Mrs and I promptly had ours nicked by someone leaving the area, despite vigilance. Why that policy with plastic?! Something a lot of punters and security staff seemed to question too..
Otherwise, a bloody good night!
Review of The Soul Rebels
The band were excellent and put on a great show with lots of energy, which is difficult when they were playing to a near empty room. The show obviously had not been promoted enough so not enough tickets had been sold for a top US brass band that should have been playing to a packed venue. The venue was switched at the last minute with no communication to ticket holders and then the band came on at 8pm with no support. This is an early show for Brighton (I would expect most headline acts to come on at 9 or 9.30 so the 8pm start should have been advertised more. We saw people coming in close to the end of the set who obviously hadn't realised the band were coming on so early. Shame as they were brilliant.

Review of Mixmag Live presents: The Black Madonna
The sound quality was not very good, overly bassy and could only really get a good sound by standing right at the back, which meant standing in a walkway. Although the whole dancefloor seemed to be a walkway with people constantly barging through in all directions. It was sometimes impossible to hear the music over the noise of the crowd at times. It was too busy to actually dance. The crowd was not a very nice mix of people with lots of aggressive/ pushy/ overly *****ed people. Drinks constantly being poured over us from people too off their faces to notice. It seemed like the club was filled over capacity and this ruined our night. There was a lack of security, I didn't see any bouncer s except at the entrance. Having security on the dancefloor could have potentially helped reduce how messy people were getting. there was long queues for the bar and toilets. The lighting was seemed random and not an accompiment to the music.

Review of dBridge b2b Fracture 2hr Set
Wherever dbridge comes, so does the vibe. Wicked b2b set and even though it wasn't as busy as expected, decent crowd and decent sound. Drinks relatively pricey but that's Brighton and that's patterns, top night.

Review of Disco Deviant: Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery, Pablo Contraband
One of the best nights I've been to in Brighton. Musically it was amazing and the crowd were mixed age groups and Disc Deviant altogether older than your average nightclub. Super friendly and up for it crowd!
