Review of New Love - Alternative Dating Night
I spoke to a few nice people. I was impressed that I was encouraged to be more courageous with my body for art.
I listened to the questions and answers bit. It was so good that it was Scarry but I had to leave early than I would of expected because of the lack of enough toilet facilities.

Review of New Love - Alternative Dating Night
This was basically a fun meet and greet for Brighton's alternative/fetish scene. It featured an enthusiastic hostess, quirky venue and some lovely creative touches like body painting, a mini-cinema, and free chocolates:) Great chance to mingle amongst a group of interesting, unusual people.
Really shouldn't be billed as a dating night though,at least not for genuine singles. I would recommend going with friends unless you're the type who's comfortable with wandering up to a table of strangers at a bar/club alone, and trying to spark off a conversation! It wasn't as forgiving an environment for starting up a chat as at a normal dating night, where everyone else is in exactly the same boat as you.

Review of New Love -Alternative Dating Night Launch
Nice idea but a bit cliquey, some of the advertised features didn't exist and, if its really a dating event, it needs the promoters to hire hosts to make singles feel comfortable. But people were friendly and I met a special person.

Review of New Love -Alternative Dating Night Launch
I'm very happy to see an alternative date night for those of us who don't enjoy more traditional date nights. I just loved the concept of a cuddle room/chocolate/endorphin room and a geek room.
However, the music was too loud to talk to people, so lots of people are shouting over it. This made my and my friends social anxiety worse. It also made it very hard to get to know people as I could barely hear people. It felt more like a club than a date night. It was slightly too full of people, but perhaps if it was more regular, it would get the right balance of bringing people in, and being able to move. Due to the number of people, I'd say that the night wasn't disabled friendly. I found it very hard to move around, and would find it even more difficult if I brought my wheelchair. The music carried up all the side rooms. The cuddle room was always full, as it was quite a small room, and the geek room was not too my particular geeky tastes.
I would however go again, I want this night to become a regular thing, but next time, I will definitely bring noise protecting headphone, unless something was done about the volume of the music.
