Saltdean Lido venue information
The Saltdean Lido was opened in 1938 and is a Grade ll*listed building and is less than 5 miles east of central Brighton.
After many years of being open and used by the local community it started to fall into disrepair and the lease holder at the time put in an application to knock the Lido down and build flats.
However over the last three years a local campaign to "Save The Lido" has been successfully driven by local residents. In 2012 the group succeeded in their mission to save the building and the Saltdean Lido is now on English Heritage's At Risk Register. The next stage is to get the venue re-opened and ready for the local community and visitors to use.
