Winter Makers Fair at The British Engineerium

About

Paper Daisy Events are delighted to be holding a grand Winter/Christmas Makers Fair in the refurbished, large and impressive Coal Storage Shed of The British Engineerium!

The first in Paper Daisy Events fully curated Winter/Christmas season of events and for a full weekend!

A beautifully restored Victorian pumping station, that is steeped in engineering history with a museum of mechanical antiquities that will be re - open to visitors alongside our event, so bring the family along and explore!

This building is grand! It has a perfect beautiful, industrial Victorian architecture backdrop for the Makers & Artists Fair in a large exhibition hall with a mezzanine gallery floor, both levels accessible directly from the outside and a staircase inside. Allowing approximately 85 exhibitors each day to join us over the weekend - so make sure you allow plenty of time to explore the full range of exhibitors!

Expect to find exceptional quality, unique and original artists, makers & designers with an array of contemporary, traditional and even quirky products. There will be a local small batch food/produce section on the mezzanine floor too. It’ll be your perfect opportunity to explore, meet and shop with so many creative small, independent businesses, with the widest range choice and budgets to suit all - a perfect start to the seasonal shopping period. Many offer bespoke services too so may be a great opportunity to think ahead for special gifts.

You’ll also find pop up food & drink options available too, with a licensed bar from Orange Beach Bars, where you can take a break from all the shopping.

The attached Museum will be open, with guided tours throughout the weekend, booking is recommended through Paper Daisy Events website.

The High Victorian Gothic buildings are a prominent landmark in Hove, beside Hove Park, neighbouring Waitrose, Legal & General & Corals Stadium with its towering 95 feet chimney and Heritage status of Stage 2 listing.

Free onsite parking & neighbouring school car park available, with no 'zone restriction' street parking in surrounding area, but we recommend locals plan their journey by bus
