Brighton Pride is just around the corner, and we are bringing the absolute heat.

On Saturday, 1st August, Popola is taking over The Oculist from 10:30pm for a massive Pride celebration rooted deeply in Afro-Caribbean and Latin American sounds, culture, and community. We're talking a non-stop sonic heatwave designed to keep you moving from the moment you step through the door until the lights come up.

If you've been craving a space that feels like home, handles the riddims properly, and celebrates you unconditionally... this is it.

We're packing the lineup with heavy tropical rhythms across cultures: Reggaeton, Latin Bass, Soca, Dancehall, Baile Funk & Global Beats

Popola intentionally centers diasporic queer communities, trans babes, queens, and femmes. In a world that so often asks us to shrink ourselves or tone it down, we gather to take up maximum space, connect deeply, and shine exactly as we are.
