City Wall x TRUNCATE

Fresh off the back of supporting Jeff Mills in Detroit as part of the Live at the Liquid Rooms 30th Anniversary Tour, City Wall welcomes acclaimed producer, remixer and international techno heavyweight TRUNCATE to TIDE in Brighton on the south coast for what promises to be a night to remember.

TRUNCATE, aka David Flores, cut his teeth on the Southern Californian 90s warehouse and desert rave circuit. In the early 2000s he grew to become an integral part of the LA techno scene, originally releasing music under the Audio Injection moniker on the DROID RECORDINGS label.

It wasn't until early 2011 that the TRUNCATE moniker was born as a personal outlet for stripped down, deep, raw DJ tools. It is this energy that is encapsulated in the TRUNCATE DJ sets.

TRUNCATE releases have been gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Marcel Dettmann, Chris Liebing, Speedy J, DVS1, Luke Slater, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn and many more.

TRUNCATE has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink! for Pets Recordings, Slam for Soma, Trus'me for Prime Numbers and Josh Wink for Boyznoise.

TRUNCATE as a DJ has played the biggest stages in the techno world including but not limited to, Berghain, Fabric, Movement Festival in Detroit, Dimensions in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam and Output in New York.

This is a unique opportunity to hear one of the scene's most accomplished artists play in the incredible TIDE venue with a Funktion1 sound system and dancefloor that opens directly onto Brighton seafront.

In the main room expect raw, hypnotic and hard techno and in room 2 a deeper and more progressive sound. Support is from a host of City Wall regulars and exciting upcoming talent.
