this was my first time at basement45 and i really enjoyed the venue. the sound in both rooms is quality, and due in part to the low dungeon-style archways the acoustics are great. there was no soundbleed from one room to the next even though both were bangin'.

i attended this event because i like jaimie fanatic's production work and i play some of his tracks out. i am drawn to his warmer synthy stuff though, and what he played was definitely more spastic and less lush. i understand now why he describes his style as "fanatic house" - this is a literal definition rather than just a nod to his stage name. i preferred the chunkier techy business in the second room, but overall it was a night of good tunes.

chill enough crowd, kind of a lot of security milling about, but clean place. check it out.
