Review of Bristol Vintage Kilo Sale
Been planning on attending a kilo sale for a while and finally got to go. Got an early bird tick*t and was well worth it for the range of stock. So chuffed with what I unearthed, friendly staff, great atmosphere. Not 'elbows at the ready' at all.

Review of Bristol Vintage Kilo Sale
Good instructions on how to get there but no obvious signs posting to the sale in the event space - I only got to it by following other people. There should have been better instructions on site arrival (at least some signs!). When I got inside there was no queue to jump so the advantage of buying a queue jump tick*t wasn't that obvious and the admissions process seemed a bit haphazard - there was only one table with two people sitting on it. Someone I spoke to didn't have cash to enter so it would have been nice to be able to pay entry by card. There was quite a bit of scrambling and pushing to get at items, including the staff restocking the rails. A couple of them just seemed to shove the stock back on and pushed past me to do so, which was a bit rude. There should have been clearer male / female changing rooms instead of one random space, and there weren't enough mirrors for everyone trying things on. The venue was a lot smaller than I thought it would be, and I wasn't aware that stock would be replenished throughout the day, I only saw that on the FB page so I was surprised as I thought everything that was available would be out on the shop floor. Next time there should be a bigger venue so you can put all the stock out - I think it's a bit unfair to hold things back on purpose. The jewellery did not look like proper vintage, just bad quality metal and a lot of plastic - so I wouldn't rate the jewellery considering the price was too high for the quality. However I did like the selection of clothes items. and I found two dresses that fit me very well, quite rare for me to find! The music wasn't loud enough or very memorable (should have had some great vintage tunes on). Overall it was the good side of average and I would go again if just to see the clothes selection. But please train your staff to be more friendly, approachable and polite, not look like they would rather be somewhere else - customer service should be your top priority!
