Review of Feast On 2024
Sort of weird you pay money to then come in and pay more for food.. I guess I'm not a massive foodie, and as a vegetarian it was too often the afterthought veggie option that a meat van sold, which wasn't super interesting. I think maybe on a weekend day it was OK- but on the Friday night it was only one talk that I saw, no demonstrations, eating contests, etc. and the music was a really cheesy 80s cover band with the singer in a Rod Stewart wig but Adam Ant jacket. I had some bland egyptian food and some not super inspiring beer (surely a food festival should also care about its food pairing?). I dunno, it was fine, but I'm not sure I would go again.

I found this event disappointing - not enough going on, not enough food choices (come on Bristol, you have more to offer than this!) Only one activity for children - there could have been other activities for kids, perhaps in a specific tent/marquee for shade and safety. More shade and more tables generally - as mainly people were eating. But - the food I ate was good, the atmosphere was relaxed and it was enjoyable

Great family friendly day out, amazing produce and options for food. Only shame was that a lot of places were starting to sell out of dishes by Sunday afternoon, so best to get there early!

£20 pounds to enter with no free food or drink. Food was mostly expensive with small portions, and queues were long, up to a hour.
Venue was small and crowded, stages close together so highly stimulating, but the music was varied and well performed.

A good little food fest with a great vibe. I liked that the vendors were all genuinely local from Bristol - it could have done with a little more variety in local beers at the bar though. And definitely needed more ice cream options, especially in the beautiful weather. Finally, a quieter family-focused area would have been nice as it was a bit loud and busy. But those are things that could be easily fixed next year!
