Review of Feast On 2024
We went on the Friday and it was great. Chill vibes, great atmosphere, great food of course. The food stalls were as expensive as you would expect for a festival (£5 for a side; £10 minimum for a main) but not extortionate and it was good food. The market hall was great (always good to have a browse). I would have liked the DJ and live music to be further apart so the sounds don't mix. And free water refill stations would have also been good.

Upsetting a lot of stools sold out of food before we even got there, considering it was dinner time and the time slot we pre paid for. Long lines that were unorganised, produce section closed before we had a chance to look. Was all a bit disappointing

The venue was very small for the number of people. Limited shade or rain protection. Was expecting as a foodie event to taste small portions of food rather than have to pay £10-12 for plates of food. Did note on the day that food hygiene was not the greatest. There appeared to be no refrigeration of produce. Therefore I guess I shouldn't be surprised I got food poisoning. Music was too loud and difficult to hear cooking demo talks because of this

I thought this event was absolutely brilliant - the food choices were varied and local, excellent quality and reasonably priced. There was plenty of seating and lots of drinks options. The only criticisms would be volume of music and lack of shade on a hot day, otherwise it was fantastic.

It was a really hot day - no where near enough shade catered for. Limited activities for children. Long queues and sold out vendors (and some advertised vendors not there)
Great idea but wayyyy to busy and not enough thought for the weather

I was hugely disappointed with the quantities of food on offer. Not feast-y at all. The music also clashed and 2 stages in the same area were playing 2 styles of music at the same time. There was no farmer's market (I believe this was advertised), no food taster sessions and by 7pm on Friday 26th no shows or demos to attend. A lot more could have been done.

Great atmosphere and the food was awesome, but the entry fee is WAY too high considering all you're doing when you're there is spending £6-10 a pop for snack foods or a beverage. Lots of good seating, appreciate the wooden benches everywhere. The music was a little bad, good as it is to support local musicians, it was hard to hear the bands over the DJ set. Went on Sunday afternoon and found it tricky to find vegan options as a lot had sold out so would go earlier in the day. Cool bandstand set up with the food illustrations.

Although I thought it was a good event with music and atmosphere I did feel there were not enough food outlets from the Bristol restaurant scene, maybe I read the material wrong, those that were there were good but I would have wanted more, a similar event in South Gloucster had the same format and that was free.

My tickets were for 7pm on Sat 27th unfortunately when we
got there very few outlets were open & the queue for the ones that were left were anything up to 30 minute & they were rapidly running out.Drinks were so overpriced £40 for a jug of Pimms or £12 a glass outrages, no music apart from background & not looking to start until later. I bought 4 tickets & was left to feel very embarrassed to my friends. We left after an hour & headed to Whiteladies road for something to eat & drink......

If you pay for a food festival there should be samples/tasters. The quality of food was good. The live music was good but the DJ was far too loud and did not natch the atmosphere. The ride in the middle was unnecessary. The toilets needed restocking with paper and there should have been a place to wash your hands. The number of visitors had clearly been underestimated so the queues for food were unacceptably long and many vendors had run out of food very early.
