About

Following the sell-out success of our first episode of Stripped Back Sessions at The Forge, we are excited to present episode 2 in which we showcase a diverse lineup of artists performing their music with live instruments.

Hailing from Kent, JAY MALAKHI is on his way to redefining UK rap with his trailblazing, dynamic raps and meticulously crafted flow. JAY MALAKHI’s rap encompases a range of stylistic approaches to his sound as he blends UK raps jaunty, bouncy flow with US Hip Hop inspired instrumentals, brimming with soulful samples and pulsating baselines.

Oscar Grouch is a Bristol-based indie-rock artist blending smooth elements of nu-jazz and soul. His music captures the push and pull of human connection and disconnection, exploring themes like family, anxiety, and addiction with catchy, thought-provoking songs. For those that like Omar Apollo, Dijon, Rex Orange County they are sure to connect with Oscar’s sound.

Sym is a 25-year-old artist and producer from Kent. Sym is quite versatile and it shows. With a crafted look from head to toe and a talent that she nurtures with her own means. This young woman is an all-rounder. With more than one ace up her sleeve, she’s very likely to become one. The voice? She got it. The look? She got it. The talent? She got it. The only thing missing is the success, but you know what they say: Good thing comes to those who wait.

NuAloe is a South London-raised singer and rapper. With musical roots watered by her father's eclectic music taste, she infuses all sounds and genres in her music. Bringing a different perspective and identity to the music scene is essential to NuAloe’s musical work. Engaging in topics ranging from, Blackness, Queerness, Activism and south London living, her music continues to grow on listeners.
