The New Room John Wesley's Chapel

The New Room is the oldest Methodist chapel in the world, built in 1739. The Georgian chapel building is adjoined by a café and visitor centre, continuing its longstanding function as a meeting place, sanctuary and cultural venue. Regularly welcoming performers for a varied events programme, the New Room is keen to continue hosting performers and musicians in an historic venue.
