The Star and Dove in Totterdown is holding an event called 'Summer Sunday Sensation Foreign Film and Food Festival'
Every Sunday in August The Star and Dove's Artspace will be transformed into a cinema, while their chefs prepare a themed dinner menu inspired by the film:
17th August
Big Night - set in Italy, this is a beautifully shot comedy with a definite love for food. the menu offers antipastis, a 12-hour slow-cooked bolognaise and panna cotta.
24th August
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly - the most famous spaghetti western, with Clint Eastwod's starring role as Blondie. The menu will have a Mexican/American theme
31st August
The Cook, the Theif, his Wife and her Lover - a fantastically macabre film set in france about love, lust, food and revenge. The meal will be pate, coq au vin and tart tatin.
Tickets are just £10 each for the food and film and booking is recommended. Starts 7pm each night.
