Situated on the peak of St Michael’s Hill, it has always been a popular choice for those wishing to grab a freshly cooked meal washed down with a pint of real ale or cider. In that respect, not that much has changed. Aesthetically however, we have recently made some big changes. We stripped the pub back to its ‘Bear necessities’ and gave the entire a venue a majestic new colour scheme, highlighted with designer wallpapers, bespoke lighting, vintage furniture, retreated floors and selected hangings from local artists. The White Bear also boasts a spacious and partially covered courtyard that is heated during the colder months as well as playing host to a number of BBQs in the Summer time.
