Show Description:

Comedy-drama Balcony View watches two star-crossed neighbours quickly turn into a hostage situation. Set on the crumbling balconies of an ageing apartment building, Melanie, a counsellor in training is trying to hold it together as her apartment flls apart. Her balcony becomes her only retreat, which is unfortunately shared by her fellow balcony resident, Ben. Melanie tries to carve out a new path in her life, while being emotionally tailed by her confident, if not needy neighbour. 

This script was originally a screenplay pilot and was shortlisted by ITV and ERA50:50‘s TellHerVision project. As well as Ciara Jack as producer and writer, the production showcases Freddie Main as director. The show has played to packed out rooms in its native city of Norwich, and will be touring in 2025.
