Review of City Sound Project 2024 - The Return
Event was very poorly organised. When booking tickets it said event starts at 1pm however soon realised things didn't start until the evening which we only realised by turning up to places and being told it didn't start until hours later!
Also not clear whatsoever where and when to collect wrist bands...only found out by asking some people we saw wearing them.
Music was ok but overall was a bad experience and a waste of money in my opinion!

Review of City Sound Project 2024 - The Return
The event was severely underpromoted. We paid for a day ticket, none of the venues really knew about it when we turned up. It was meant to start at 1pm but there was no timetable to be found. There was no information on the website where to get our wristbands and then Later we found one and everything started at 5.30pm. The rooftop at drapers was meant to start at 7pm but the sound didn't work until 7.30pm. No one even checked out wristbands! Was terribly set up, I wouldn't pay £22 again as I am not sure what we actually got for the money?! It's a shame as years ago it was much much better.

Review of City Sound Project 2024 - The Return
Penny theatre too far out of Canterbury so was always quite. Drapers arms was also quite, however both venues cheap on drinks. Matches wasn't the best more of a place to play pool and darts. Ballroom was like being in ur school hall. Cuban was the best for atmosphere and music however 18 quid for a double vodka! Wouldn't go again next year

Review of City Sound Project 2024 - The Return
Where do I start, I attended city sound a few years back and really enjoyed my time, the prices were fair and the lineup was great. Unfortunately this event was mostly compromised of subpar wannabe TikTok DJs, some of the bigger acts couldn't even bother turning up, for example My Nu Leng only had one of the two DJs present who's set was mostly consisted of house music probably due to selling his usb for crack, however this only highlighted the half assed planning involved in bringing this event to light as it wasn't any better throughout. The drink prices were on par with some of the more exclusive London clubs, at a generous price of £14 per double vodka n c**e in Cuban, except you were not in a lavish club with high standards, but rather a cramped club with sweaty hagrids who ain't washed for weeks breathing down your neck. Overall if you're a fan of massively overpriced drinks, sweaty crowds with jaws swinging harder than Tiger Woods and DJ's not turning up to their sets then this is the perfect event for you.

Review of City Sound Project 2024 - The Return
In general it was really good. I had a weekend writsband so I could enjoy a good variety of music and venues for a good price. It confused me a little that at the first venue (the cuban) we had to pass through a thoroughly security check that it didn't happen at all at the others. I will definitely go back again. Good festival to get to know Canterbury and venues that never been before
