a great little pub which has had some great names in music play there . i walk by and saw electric six was playing .so looked on line for tickets but only found some on skiddle which i never heard of, got tickets .email with instructions .and i hoped for the best... got to the gig  showed my debit card which i bought the ticket and walked in ,it is just a local pub the pool table was used to sell tee shirts mugs ect ,... i was very pleased i got there early as it only holds 400 people .. the gig was a great laugh the band having a good time  the crowd  singing along  great sound lights ect  as it is very near houses it finished at 2200 hrs but i had work on monday so its great for me .. the bonus for me when buying a mug  the lead sing walked up behind me and told me he liked my jumper ,we had a good chat a photo , which was very pleasant and made my night      

Review of Electric Six Live at The Hole in the Roof

Fantastic gig  & live venue, Electric Six didnt disappoint at all. Support acts were awesome. Great atmosphere would def see these again & go to more live gigs at this venue. If you havent been you need too!

Nice venue, the shammed were awesome the other band not my cup of tea, electric six were pretty good having seen them before left slightly disappointed

Unable to see anything - stage needs to be higher.  Floor so sticky unable to dance easily. Only 1 female toilet.  Probably won't return to this venue.

My Dad came all the way from Oxfordshire to go to this gig with my partner and I, we all really enjoyed it. Loved the Shammed who did a great collection of punk hits and WRZ were weird but very entertaining and enjoyable! Electric 6 were on top form as always (we are big fans and have seen them live several times before!). Definitely good value for the ticket. Liked the venue too, was very small but worked well! 

Really entertaining great supports! 

Great Band, lots of energy, I haven't been to the Hole in the Roof before, it's a lovely pub but unfortunately the lay out isn't the greatest if you want to get a chance to actually see the band as the stage area is rather small.

Review of Wishbone Ash Live with Support

Fantastic gig,great atmosphere and really cheap.

Great sound. Good atmosphere. Would definitely go to see again if in locale. Have to be honest, enjoyed better than Martin Turner's WA at the Astor Deal couple of years back. Support band gave exceptional rendition of Comfortably Numb. Great evening all round & well worth money.

A bit too much from Argus, but i'll be a minority in that...

Review of Wishbone Ash Live 

Toyah what a woman, she had the audience eating out of her hands hit after hit even some decent cover versions, the band were on fine form and the crowd just wanted more a great night for all. My only concern was the few individuals who could'nt seem to survive the evening without drinking alcohol  all evening and spoiling peoples enjoyment .
