Review of Depot in the Castle W/ Clean Bandit & Tom Odell
Queuing terrible. Also told you could only take a small rucksack in (nothing else) and yet a lot of people had chairs, picnic blankets, trollies etc. Not impressed as we would’ve taken chairs if we knew as have health problems.

Good music and great location BUT definitely not a family friendly event. Explanation below :)
As we had older kids in the group (5 between the ages 9 to 12) we decided to go later in the day as they wouldn't have lasted all day. We arrived at 18:00 and found out that in order to have food for them we either had to go out again ( and risk not to be back by 19:00 or wait around 1 hour for whatever was on offer. Soft drink were also available only after very long waiting time in the cue which made the whole situation rather stressful. The child friendly activities ( face painting, entertainment..) also finished shortly after 18:00. To keep the story short...kids decided music was not worth the stress and parents decided to leave early.
Advice for the next event: allow the coffee van to sell soft drinks too, to avoid having to wait an hour for a can of soft drink at the main tent, have some entertainment for older kids at least until 20:00, allow more food and drinks vendors on site to shorten up queues or at least allow people with kids to leave and return regardless of time.

Unfortunately the event was let down badly by a very bad bar experience.
We had paid for VIP so expected better. But the bar was under staffed (just 3 serving) and run in an amateurish way: eg it was a typical free for all rather than any attempt at a regulated queue (how VIP!!) no optics for the spirits so every serving was hand poured and many people were drinking gin. no multiple auto beer dispensers. As a result some people were ordering double or even triple rounds and then getting extra drink for their friends via their phones. It took me 40 minutes to get served which is appalling. I asked someone in the crowd about the non VIP bar: they said it was slow but organised and it took 20 minutes to get served. Ha!
I didnt pay to go to a concert to be engaged in a stressful waste of time.
Based on this I would never recommend the experience and will only give a bad review.
But your questionaire thingy has no scope to include this aspect of my experience and I wont give the cited categories a bad score because this isnt fair to those aspects. So no doubt your data will reflect a good experience but this is a totally false impression of my reflections.
So that's another thing to get me vexated!
No doubt you will send me an apology thanking me for my valuable comments, stating that you will take any criticisms on board for further planning. Dont bother.

Really enjoyed the concert but the bar and toilet facilities were horrendous. 1.5 to 2 hour queue for the bar. I cannot even describe how horrendous the toilet facilities were.

Review of DEPOT Live Presents: Nile Rodgers + Chic
Fantastic gig,Chic were superb.Really friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
It would have been nice to have seen a support act rather than having a (predictable) DJ.
Getting a drink at the bar was a nightmare though! Had to wait well into the concert before approaching the bar.

The queues of people waiting to buy food , drinks or just for the toilets were just ridiculous. It was more like wasting and missing an event as when you wanted a drink you had to stay in the queue for around 1hr then food another 45 min then toilets and if you wanted to buy more drinks you were stuck in the queue again. I don't think there was just enough space for all the people that attended plus I don't think this should be an event were young children can attend. Young children mixed around people that are a bit drunk are not a good combination.

great venue but queuing for over an hour on multiple occasions in vip as well as normal bar was just too much. Such a shame as was a great day other than that.
The poor staff in the tents in that heat and no support was really poor.
